Siding Issues
|
|
If
there are any issues with the siding/s that you will be utilising
in the 2022 season, your first point of contact is the siding

Growers
are able to access 30 tonnes of gravel from Wilmar for the
purpose of siding tipper pad maintenance on the condition the
siding is clean.
Please
take photos of the clean siding and text them to Chris Winship on

|
|
The
Department of Transport and Main Roads' (TMR) would like to
advise that the Helen’s Hill heavy vehicle rest area, about 17
kilometres south of Ingham, is now open to all heavy vehicle
operators.
While
the rest area is open, work continues on the shelters and other
ancillary works. TMR would like to thank heavy vehicle
operators for their patience and co-operation during these works.
Other
road safety works on the Bruce Highway between Grasso’s Road and
Pappin’s Road continue and are due for completion mid-2022
(weather and construction dependent).
Road
users are asked to drive carefully through the road work zones,
follow direction of traffic controllers, and adhere to reduced
speed limits.
If
you require further information about this project or any other
TMR project, please contact the Townsville TMR office by email at
engagement.northern@tmr.qld.gov.au

Free crop insurance for members
|
|
All
CANEGROWERS members will receive free basic crop insurance cover
in 2022, as part of a major new initiative being undertaken by
the grower organisation. The initiative, which will see every
member covered against fire, hail or transport losses to the value
of $35 per tonne, is aimed at lowering costs for growers.
"This
member benefit ensures that growers are covered against losses
via a basic crop insurance cover with an indemnity level of $35
per tonne with nil excess," CANEGROWERS CEO Dan Galligan said.
"CANEGROWERS has used our strong membership base and
experience in the insurance market to develop this competitive
product and the premium is being paid by the CANEGROWERS
organisation."
