Dear Growers
As
you aware on 1 December 2019, the Queensland government made new
regulations which introduced the requirement for cane growers to
implement a farm nitrogen and phosphorus budget (N & P
Budget) in the Wet Tropics from 1 December 2021.
CANEGROWERS
Herbert River is gauging the number of members who would be
interested in being provided a N & P Budget template to utilise
for their cane farms.
Can
you please respond via email or contact the office if this would
interest you.

Lannercost Street investigative works
|
|
The
Lannercost Street Reconstruction project is one of several
Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) planning projects
funded by the Queensland Government within the Hinchinbrook
Shire.
With
the existing road pavement along Lannercost Street between
Townsville Road and Log Creek Bridge currently showing signs of
age with numerous patch and pothole repair works, this project
will scope the extent of pavement reconstruction works required
to improve the overall condition of the road surface and improve
safety.

QSL Update
|
|

|
|
Selling or leasing
your farm?
It's
important for QSL Direct growers who are planning changes to
their farm’s operating structure (such as a farm sale, new lease
or subdivision) to complete a Farm Sale/Lease Information Form
and submit this to QSL. This form is not a contract – it simply
initiates the documentation process by gathering basic
information about the transaction to enable QSL to prepare the
relevant Deed of Acknowledgement and/or Deed of Novation to
implement associated pricing transfers. This can be done before,
during or after the transaction occurs, but ideally, before the
transaction occurs. For further information or to commence the
process, please contact the QSL Direct team on 1800 870
756.
Harvest Pool Opt
Out
Leave
the QSL Harvest Pool at any time during the season and price more
yourself using QSL's new Harvest Pool Opt Out. Just choose to
'Opt Out' and any of your Harvest Pool tonnage which has not
already been priced by QSL will be transferred to the
Self-Managed Harvest Contract so you can price it yourself.
Available to QSL Direct growers from 1 May 2022.
For more information please click here,
or contact your local QSL team.
