Hinchinbrook Proposed Road Management Policy Amendments
The council has recently sent landholders communication relating to their proposed road management policy amendments decreasing and increasing classifications of certain sections of roads. This is an opportunity to provide your feedback to the council if you do not agree with the proposed changes on the roads that will affect your business or household. If you would like assistance in providing this feedback to the council don’t hesitate to contact me.

Road access for farm equipment
CANEGROWERS has developed a range of resources to help members navigate the legal requirements for moving large farm vehicles and equipment on public roads.  There is a handy checklist and decision-making tool along with district-specific guides of critical and major roads. I have attached the Dimension limits for agriculture vehicle access to roads which pertain to the Herbert River District and an attachment for Access for over-width agriculturual vehicles which contain what is required for the Herbert River District. You can also find these on the CANEGROWERS Herbert River website at
www.herbertrivercanegrowers.com.au in the members area under the Transport page.

House Numbers
We have organised Ingham Men’s Shed to produce house numbers for CANEGROWER members. The house numbers are reflective and are on an aluminium number plate style as per the attached picture. The cost is $30 each. If you would like to order one please call the office and provide your house number and name.
