SERVING HERBERT RIVER SINCE 1926
For 100 years, CANEGROWERS has proudly represented the interests of the sugarcane farmers of Queensland.
CANEGROWERS is a not-for-profit public company providing a professional and cohesive voice for growers across all of Queensland’s sugarcane regions.
Regardless of your farm size, whether you’re an individual grower, a family business, or corporate enterprise, we work for the best possible outcomes for your business and your industry. Our diversity is our strength, and we draw on this diversity as we set priorities to achieve our vision of a secure and profitable future.
A Century of Standing Together
For 100 years, CANEGROWERS has existed for one simple reason: to give Queensland sugarcane growers a strong, united voice.
From the earliest days of hand-cut cane and horse-drawn ploughs, through war, drought, deregulation and global competition, growers have known that standing alone was never enough. Strength came – and still comes – from standing together.
2026 marks 100 years since CANEGROWERS was formally established. It is a milestone built on unity, hard work and the determination of cane-farming families across Queensland’s growing regions.
our vision
To lead a strong, profitable and innovative sugarcane industry, supporting growers and the Herbert River community with passion, professionalism, and a unifying voice.
